Big Balloons and Vinyl Banners
A long day of traveling is never fun. Even the most patient people tend to lose their tempers in the airport. As a limo driver in New York City, I've spent my fair share of time at two of the country's busiest airports and have heard countless horror stories from even the most seasoned travelers about temper tantrums and mental breakdowns. When I was younger, I couldn't help but laugh at peoples' impatience. I learned quickly, however, that if my business was going to survive, I would have to refrain from patronizing my clients.
I was tired of dealing with angry customers, so I started playing a game with myself to see if I could figure out a person's emotions. I always loved to see happy people at the airport. I commonly saw these happy faces on family members, old friends or young lovers who were reuniting after, I assume, long periods of time spent away from each other. As an experiment, I began to greet my clients at the airport as if I were greeting old friends. I became known as the limo driver who also provided newspapers and hot tea. I can now say that due to my research, my business is now the most profitable limo service in the entire country. I want to share my success with you, so keep reading to learn three wonderful ways to greet your special someone at the airport.
TRADITIONAL GIRLS LOVE CANDY, FLOWERS AND A CARD
The traditional route may sound kind of boring, but trust me, I've never seen a girl upset that her boyfriend bought her a bouquet of flowers or a nice card. Most of the time the weary traveler was excited to have received anything at all. It's okay to lack creativity because, at the end of the day, it's the thought that counts. The best part about this gift is that it doesn't require a lot of money or effort but still makes a huge impression on that special someone.
CELEBRATION: BUY SOME BALLOONS!
For those who are a bit more outlandish and like to get attention, a great way to make a statement with your airport greeting is to buy a big bunch of multi-colored balloons. If you go the balloon route, then you must also personalize your balloons with catchy sayings. Personalization makes your greeting that much more special. Don't be shy, buy some balloons!
CUSTOM BANNERS ARE THE ULTIMATE WAY TO GREET THAT SPECIAL SOMEONE
My personal favorite method of airport greeting is with a banner sign. A custom banner requires slightly more preparation on your part, but as long as you go to your vinyl banner maker a day or so before you go to the airport, he will be able to get you squared away in no time. The best part about a print banner is that it can be personalized, so you can include any message you want on your print banner. Custom vinyl banners last forever! When my son returned home after spending a year in Australia, I greeted him with a and that custom banner is still hanging in his room to this day!
I hope you will try one of my recommendations the next time you visit an airport. Remember, balloons and flowers are great, but make the biggest statement of all!
