Why Street Advertising is So Darn Effective
Imagine you've been having pain in your upper back and want to see a professional to take care of hte problem. You've never seen a chiropractor before, and don't have a clue where to begin looking. Later that week, while driving to work, your eyes land on a custom business sign for a family chiropractic office. You write their name down and immediately Google it when you arrive at work. 15 minutes later you are on the phone scheduling your first session with that organization.
Now imagine you and your family are going on vacation. You've packed up your car and are trekking from Charleston, South Carolina up to New York City. Several hours into the trip, you find yourself driving down Maint Street of a small town where your cranky kids are complaining of hunger and begging to stop at their favorite chain restaurant.
Unfortunately for the kids, their restaurant of choice was nowhere in sight, though there indeed was one in that very town. But a few blocks down the road you see a for a family diner that you pull over and eat at.
Now maybe the first time you took your children to their favorite chain restaurant was because you and your wife saw an inticing advertisement on TV. Maybe it's the kids like it because of the games and prizes they offer near the back of the restaurant. And you yourself love it because of the excellent customer service you receive every visit. But all of the commercials and superb customer service in the world wasn't enough to bring you to their restaurant that particular day. Ultimately, it was the custom sign that sealed the deal and had you handing over the cash.
Customers are on the street.
Business messages displayed on along the street reach out to those that are in proximity to actually make a purchase. Street advertising helps people remember the products or service you sell, and people usually buy from businesses they have heard of before.
Since custom signs are geared at your trade area, reaching out only to the people who are in your surrounding communities, custom signs don't waste your resources by making you pay for wasted advertising coverage.
So as the owner of a small business who wants more bang for their buck, a custom sign along the street in front of your building the best bet!
